Zambia Internship Network (ZIN) is Registered as PRINCE-GATE CROSS TRAINING INSTITUTE under the Patents Companies Registration Agency under The Companies Act No,10 2017 of the Government of the Republic of Zambia on 1st September, 2023.ZIN is an agency that facilitates placements of volunteers from abroad to work with different Non-Profit Organisations  in Zambia. The volunteer opportunities are for students, career people that would like to take a break from their work, retirees, religious groups, social clubs, tourists etc that would like to make an impact in community development. We also offer services to students and professionals from Non-English speaking countries who would like to learn and improve their English.

Why Volunteer in Zambia

Zambia is an interesting Country to volunteer as there are so many opportunities in NPOs and Charities for an individual to create social impact and learn from the local experts.

Volunteering in another country is rewarding in terms of personal growth and the growth you are facilitating with the people you will work with in Zambia. Volunteering is an admirable pursuit as you are helping others to live better lives, it can also help you nurture skills and develop yourself in ways you may not have thought possible.

Internship

The internship is for Undergraduates Students, Masters Students and PHD students interested to gain experience in an NPO or Charity sector in Zambia from any country in the world.

Fees

The fees are for administrative purposes only and you are required to pay after the NPO has offered a position and has sent you an acceptance letter. The fees do not cover your health insurance or processing the work visa with the Department of Immigration but will advise the would-be intern.

  • Negotiate on your behalf in-case of a cultural misunderstanding or any other professional misunderstanding
  • Advise on immigration 2nd November,2022, the Minister of Home affairs announced the waiver of visa requirements for the following Countries United Kingdom, United States of America, Canada, Norway, Australia, New Zealand, China Japan, South Korea, the Gulf States and the European Union. The Visa waiver was implemented to attract more tourists owing to the reduced bureaucracies. However, if you are going to volunteer for more that 1(one) month you are required to apply for a Temporal Work Permit of which the hosting NPO will issue a letter to the Department of Immigration to inform them about the work you are doing.
